Blog #3 – Making Progress!!

Thrilled to announce I’m making progress over here, and things started coming together in the past week! I suddenly dropped 4 pounds, and I feel like it’s HAPPENING!! I knew it would be slow – or at least start slow – due to medication and some hormone issues, still patience goes with hard work sometimes.

An incredible thing happened since my last update. Steel City Media called to say there’s another gift card, this one from Club Pilates in Overland Park!! This 3 month membership has been an incredible Godsend. The low impact and simultaneous stretching and strength building has been exactly what I needed. I’m finding muscles that I didn’t know existed, and excited & surprised by how much one hour of something so low impact can be felt everywhere! Total game changer 😃

Thank you everyone at Club Pilates for this incredible gift! I absolutely love the studio and staff, and may have even fallen in love with Pilates!

And then this weekend my husband and I made it over to Terra Health Market in Independence. What a neat place! We filled up with organic produce (cucumber, Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onion, spaghetti squash, spinach, and apples), and stocked up on everything from flaxseed oil to Macadamia milk (BTW if you haven’t discovered macadamia milk yet, you need to!! I love it even more than almond milk!), organic fair-trade coffee, to hummus to name a few.

Today has gotten off to a great start meal prepping for the week. So far I’m making chicken marinated in olive oil, lemon, and garlic, overnight oats, hard-boiled eggs, a ginger/scallion/mushroom chicken soup, and my hubby’s favorite: tomato, cucumber, and onion salad. Look how beautiful these Roma tomatoes from Terra Market are!! I still need to add the onion. Think I’m going to need a bigger bowl 😃.

Thank you Terra Health Market, you ROCK!!

More frequent updates happening this week as I dive back into a more focused clean eating approach, and have re-worked my exercise schedule a little bit. Have a great week, and enjoy all the sunshine coming up this week Kansas City!!
